Woodford County High School is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and the safety of all those using the school site.  Please be aware that from Monday 30 October 2017 new site safety measures will be introduced.

Electronic Gates (pedestrian and vehicular) will allow us to control access to the school site.

Pedestrian gate: Staff and Sixth Form students will use fobs to access the site.  Girls in Years 7 – 11 have access via fob at peak arrival times and must use the intercom at other points in the day.

Visitors must use the intercom and then report to Reception in the main building

To exit the site, press the green button.

Vehicle gate:

Staff will use fobs to gain vehicular access

Parents are not permitted to drive onto the site unless to drop / collect a daughter whose medical condition necessitates it.  Please use to intercom to request access. (You will need to leave your car to do so.)

Visitors are encouraged to use public transport or to park in the Hawkey Hall car park.  Where parking on site has been agreed in advance, please use the intercom to gain access.  (You will need to leave your car to do so.)

To exit the site: vehicles will need to approach the gates with caution on leaving the site.  There is a diamond shaped box etched out in front of the gates one the school side.  Once your vehicle enters this area, it will be picked up by sensor and the gates will open (towards you) automatically.  Please wait until the gates are fully open before proceeding.

No tail-gating.

The vehicle and pedestrian gates are covered by CCTV for the security of girls and of staff.
