Woodford County High School For Girls
Woodford County High School is delighted to be celebrating another excellent set of A Level results, reflecting the hard work, ambition, and commitment of our students, supported throughout their time at Woodford by our dedicated staff and wider school community.
This year, 33 students achieved straight A* and A grades, including two students who achieved A*s across all their subjects. We are also incredibly proud that all of our Oxbridge candidates secured the grades needed to take up their offers, while 10 students successfully achieved their offers to study Medicine and Dentistry.
Across the year group, students are progressing to an exciting and diverse range of destinations. So far, 80 students have secured places at Russell Group universities, with 113 students achieving their first-choice university offer. Behind each of these figures is an individual story of hard work, perseverance, and aspiration, and we are enormously proud of everything our students have achieved.
There were some exceptional subject performances this year. In Computer Science, French, Latin and Music, 100% of students achieved A*–A grades, while Politics and Religious Studies saw 100% of students achieve A–B*. Our students also achieved excellent results in the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), with 40% awarded an A* and 76% achieving A–A*.

Of course, these are outstanding academic results, but what makes me most proud is the hard work, determination and commitment that sit behind them. Each student leaves Woodford with their own ambitions, talents and next steps, and it is a real privilege to see them moving on to such an exciting range of destinations. I am enormously grateful to our staff, whose expertise, care, and dedication have supported our students throughout their time with us, and to our families for the encouragement they have given them along the way. Most importantly, congratulations to our brilliant students. We are incredibly proud of you and cannot wait to see what you do next.”
