Having successfully auditioned last term, Woodford’s Big Band took to the stage at the Royal Festival Hall as part of Rotary International’s ‘Youth Makes Music’ concert last Thursday.

The concert featured the best of young musical talent from across London, and Woodford were one of just a few schools selected to perform alongside a variety of borough-level ensembles. Performing the hit song ‘sway’ featuring vocalist Antonia Pereira, and ‘Give It Up’ (made famous by K.C. and the Sunshine Band), the Big Band held their own in an auspicious venue, and were praised by audience members and organisers for their energy and professionalism.
