Former students of Woodford probably don’t need to be told that the school celebrates its 100^th birthday this September.   Students still cite birthday festivities as one of the highlights of the school year.  The parade is bigger than once it was (we are an expanding school) but otherwise, like the service, unchanged.  The formalities honoured, the rest of the day is given over to cake and activities including a giant puzzle challenge, the murder mystery, 10-pin bowling and the challenges and thrills of an adventure centre.

We are not these days (with much larger student numbers and much stricter security arrangements) able to accommodate Old Girls joining us for school celebrations of the School Birthday.  (This Year Friday 27 September.)  We have, however, made the school site available to the OGA on Sunday 29 September – the actual Centenary of the school, of course.

We’d be delighted if you and your friends would join the OGA celebrations on 29 September.  I will, of course, be there myself and tours of the school (our 251 year old building and our brand new Centenary Centre) will be available.
