In February representatives of the School Council met with our MP, Cabinet Minister Mr Iain Duncan Smith.  They outlined to him their undertakings for the year.  Projects include facilities refurbishment, working with caterers to broaden the vegetarian offer at lunchtimes and raising awareness of adolescent mental health.  The latter issue chimed with concerns at national level and Mr Duncan Smith talked about some of the research and intervention work currently undertaken.  Girls were really pleased, as the meeting closed,  to be invited to visit the Houses of Parliament.
