    • Woodford celebrates its Centenary

      Woodford County High School first opened to its pupils on 29 September 1919.  Seven teachers oversaw the education of 110 girls in a building which would doubtless be familiar to us, but had only recently been repurposed having served as a military hospital throughout World War One. Over the intervening century the school has increased ten-fold in size. While its core purpose remains unchanged, the ways in which it prepares girls to thrive in adult life is constantly evolving.

    • Girls Who Change the World

      Last summer, three students from Year 9 (now 10A) entered a STEM competition sponsored by IBM and Disney called Girls Who Change The World, beating approximately 200 applications to make the national final comprised of only ten teams.

    • Woodford awarded Bronze Certificate by the Incorporated Society of Musicians

      Woodford’s Music Department has again has been awarded the ISM / ISM Trust’s Bronze Certificate. This means that more than 10% of all the school’s GCSE students achieved an A* to C in GCSE music.
