Girls have responded magnificently to the reformed A-Levels, and they and their teachers and parents had much to celebrate on results day.
Year 11 achievement has been exceptionally strong across the whole Year 11 cohort.
Woodford’s Music Department has again has been awarded the ISM / ISM Trust’s Bronze Certificate. This means that more than 10% of all the school’s GCSE students achieved an A* to C in GCSE music.
David Cameron visited Woodford County High School on 22 March 2018 to promote NCS The Challenge – an opportunity for 16 year olds which he was instrumental in bringing into being.
As part of a national STEM initiative, year seven students designed, made and raced rocket cars at Woodford County on Wednesday 14th March.
Six fantastic bands from across the school battled on Wednesday evening to achieve the audience’s votes, with Year 9 band ‘Legacy’ being crowned the winners after a stunning performance, that they look forward to repeating at the Redbridge Battle of the Bands on Saturday.
Woodford students from all year groups were fantastically lucky on Monday to have the opportunity to enjoy a concert by the Jazz at Lincoln Centre Youth Orchestra – one of the world’s best young jazz bands, based at the Lincoln Centre in New York.
