In August we celebrated results that put us 17th in a national league table.

The publication of DfE Performance Tables at the end of January was heralded at Woodford by a succession of newspapers, national as well as local, despatching photographers to snap exultant GCSE students.  In August we celebrated results that put us 17th in a national league table.  DfE rankings just published put us 4th equal nationally (after Sevenoaks, North London Collegiate and St Michael’s Catholic Grammar School) in terms of English Baccalaureate attainment.  Student progress at Woodford is rated particularly highly.   Things move on, of course, and our focus is now the exam candidates of 2012 rather than those of 2011 – but we’ve always time for a good news story and are happy for the girls concerned that their achievements have been feted.
