As the summer holiday draws to an end, I hope my letter finds you and your family well. After a difficult few months
I trust you have found some opportunity for rest and recuperation and have been able to value the time together.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming your daughter back to Woodford. Increasing contact with students over the latter part of the summer term (with sessions for some Year 10 and Year 12 students, Yr 11 girls returning books or others attending for injections etc.) provided evidence that many of our students have indeed missed school and will actively welcome the resumption of daily attendance. Most of us are annually a little nervous as a new academic year approaches – and of course this will be heightened after the extraordinary experience of recent months. I write to you now, ahead of the return to school, to remind you of the arrangements shared with you in July and to add in new detail, where we have it. After a lengthy school closure the return to school may seem daunting. The hope is that the information supplied here and in factsheets being made available to you - will go some way to allay anxiety.
