    Woodford County High School is seeking an ambitious, creative and inspiring Head of Drama to establish and lead our brand‑new Drama department.

    This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an exceptional Drama specialist to build a department from the ground up, shaping the curriculum, the culture and the creative identity of Drama at Woodford.

    From September 2026, we will welcome our first ever GCSE Drama cohort into Year 10. Our pupils are bright, enthusiastic and incredibly eager for Drama to take its place as a key and core part of their school experience. The successful candidate will have the passion, expertise and vision to meet this appetite and create something exceptional.

    We are looking for someone who:

    • is excited by the challenge of designing a brand-new Drama curriculum
    • is an outstanding classroom practitioner with high expectations
    • can lead engaging productions and build strong enrichment opportunities
    • brings creativity, ambition and a strong sense of purpose
    • wants to shape something lasting for our pupils and our community

    This role begins at 0.6 FTE in 2026–27, rising to 0.8/Full Time from September 2027 as the department expands.
